BT-359 no longer talks to nRoute

I've been using the GlobalSat BT-359 with nRoute (v 2.7.6) for several years. It even worked after I updated my laptop to Windows 7.

Today, however, I've spent several hours trying to get them to play together. I'm using Franson GPSgate 2.6 as the intermediary. GPSgate shows I have a good fix from the BT-359, and the blue light is blinking fast, but nRoute isn't picking it up. Any suggestions?

Make sure nRoute is pointed to the COM port that GPS Gate designates for Garmin Emulator. You can do it manually in nRoute if it can't find the port by itself. Once set, it will always look at that same COM port.

Also, you didn't mention if your Windows 7 is 64 bit. I don't know what the symptoms are if you haven't done the modification to the installation with GPS Gate but its worth noting.

GpsGate for 64-bit Vista and Windows 7

Johan,
Bingo! I am indeed running 64-bit. Thanks for pointing me to this. It's working now.

I meant Terry, not Johan. Thanks, Terry. Johan made the original post.
