You need XP or Windows 7. Vista is not supported.

They don't support Vista?!? Wtf... I plan on upgrading to Windows 7 one of these days, but I hate the idea of being "forced" to spend the money for it...

OneRver - I did see this which you might take notice of:

Certainly looks like an interesting product. Too bad they keep putting limitations on what operating system it works with. I wonder what the issue is?

They probably just haven't tested it with Vista and don't plan to. Easier to just say they're not sure it will work with it.

I was wondering what the minimum resolution is. I do see it available preloaded on a Dell mini so I guess that 1024x600 must be ok. I don't see any other information about this though.

I've been using the Android version for about a month now. I like it. Do I like it enough to pay for an o/s upgrade to use it though? That's a tough one.

I am a computer dummy. What does it mean "XP and Windows7" or should it say XP or Windows 7????
tcassidy
Yes.

One more for this dummy. Which GPS would you recommend with the 64 bit?

Malaki86, I did make a note of that. Thanks
tcassidy
Both the BU-353 and GM2 have 64 bit drivers if you are looking at USB GPS. I think most others do too. As far as Bluetooth GPS goes bittedness does not matter. It is handled by the BT stack.

Just received a message, from ALK, that the truck laptop version 8 should be released by next mid-week.
OneRVer
Alright I need some advice. My motor home is 95" wide, with the mirrors I am at 117". My total length while towing my vehicle is at 55' weighing 32K lbs.

So now I am at the "What would you do" phase. The difference in money is the problem I just don't want to buy something that I do not need. I am kind of leaning towards the Truck version. I just need a little guidance, please. Thank you.

OneRVer, I have just downloaded CoPilot Live v8 Truck Laptop a couple of days ago. Judging from your size I would say you are a diesel rig. If you use truck stops it make it a lot easier to find them with the truck version. My last CoPilot was Laptop 11 and served me well. Although at times it was frustrating trying to find a truck stop. The Truck Version has it as a category that you can go to. Additionally, it may keep a closer eye on your height and keep you off those narrow roads. It can be switched from truck to auto if you want to move off of the allowed truck routes.

I am pleased at what I see. Good luck and safe travels, Lonnie

You may want to see if the truck version has a good selection of truckstops, though. Garmin Mobile PC has a truckstop category in it, but it has no Pilot, Petro, Flying J, etc in it whatsoever.
