Hi Everybody,

It looks like there a few products highly discussed here. Is there is a place where I can find side by side feature evaluation?
Like for example:
Voice command – yes | no
3D view - yes | no
Spoken streets - yes | no
Etc.

It would be really nice.

Hope to win one. :-)

It looks like the install uses a DVD or perhaps using a downloaded .iso.

What I had in mind was installing the program if possible and certainly data on an SD card inserted in the 901 understanding that system files would install in the computer. Then I could keep the GPS unit and the SD card in a sock until I want to use it. Slip in the SD card, plug in the GPS unit, software already loaded, use it while drinking my morning coffee on the balcony.

No thought of installing using another computer or moving the SD card around. Just want to keep stuff off my SSD.

Thanks for your responses.
You could install the majority of the program to an SD card if you have a DVD reader or can network to a computer that can share a DVD. I don't think an iso is available on-line. As I said before, Mobile PC may be installed to any drive or partition and an SD card is just another drive as far as Windows is concerned. Some data must reside in a Windows folder but it is a small portion of the program.

I just checked my main computer (which has Mobile PC on the E: drive) and there are 2 locations in Documents and Settings\<your name>\Application Data\GARMIN. In \Devices\Garmin Mobile PC, an xml file uses about 4 KB and \GarminMobilePC has files totalling about 2.5 Meg.

Drive cost of the the MobilePC folder on my E: drive is 2.6 Gig but that includes about 1.2 Gig of extra maps I have added.

Thanks Terry, answers my question and fills in the gap.

A shoot-out among Mobile PC, iGuidance, DeLorme, and Streets would be really helpful.

That would only apply to people using exactly the same screen size and with fixed expectations of what a navigation program should be. The designers of each software package had different ideas about what is important and each will meet most of the needs of a certain type of user.

Bigger screen! 4 tabs on the bottom instead of 2.

It works great at 7" 800x480 so should be fine on the Mini screen at 1024x600.

Many people already have a mobile phone with internal GPS. Are there experiences with using such phones as USB or bluetooth GPS for Garmin Mobile PC? Do you recommend such solution? Or do you recommend rather to buy an extra GPS modul to be used with Mobile PC?

My Sprint aircard has GPS capabilities. It's ok in a pinch, but the external mounted BU-353 works MUCH better.
