Which GPS & SDK to use to send location information to server?
DyMz
Hi everyone,

Could any one recommend me a GPS receiver and SDK that works with it, so I can send the location information from the receiver to a server and vise versa.

Aany help will be appreciated.

Take a look at Franson's GPSGate site. They have a variety of products. You might find something useful.

I doubt if you will find a GPS-specific SDK for something like that because all of the popular consumer GPS receivers output standard NMEA data.

I use GPSGate with my BU-353 receiver. Works great. I just send my data to their server. At home, I run a program called GooPS, which retrieves the data from the GPSGate site and let's people see where I am/have been on Google Earth.

Please take a look at Franson's GPSGate site.

Also your search engine is your friend: "GPS fleet tracking".

There are tons of solutions out there.

GPSGate would be really good for you for fleet tracking, especially if you install your own server setup instead of just using the free GPSGate server. That way your drivers location is guaranteed to be private.
