Find nearby places sequence
Dave Bates
Streets & Trips does a very good job of finding nearby places & I use it all of the time. The only problem I find is that the tree listing sequence can only be sorted in either alphabetical or shortest to farthest distance from the route sequences. It would be really nice if they could be also sorted in driving route sequence i.e. in the order of your travel route.

Am I the only one that would like to have this option?

Dave, welcome to the Forum!

Your suggestion sounds like a good idea and a reasonable addition to the Wish List.

I wonder if the following work-around discussed recently in another thread might help. Plan your route in the usual fashion. Identify a section of the route where you want to know what POIs are available. Insert a stop along the route representing the nearest point on the route for POI interest and another representing the furtherest. You might rename them "near" and "far" or something else in the Route planner pane. Recalculate the route, go to Find nearby places, choose a distance in the Search box at the bottom, select "near to far" in the Around box, and click Refresh. This will produce a narrowed-down list of POIs so that you can make your selections to add to the route.

Thank you for your response.

I've done what you suggested before but in the case of a campground most of the time I don't know where I will be at when ready to stop. If I have all of the campgrounds listed in the tree & they're in route sequenced I can just click a few of them in the tree to see which one is closest to the anticipated stopping point. Also if I'm looking for other POIs I could see where they're at in route sequence to see if it's desirable to stop there i.e is there only one POI or several in a particular area.

I understand and I can appreciate the potential usefulness of this capability as you explain.
