Copilot for Android Tablets
I am considering getting a Toshiba Thrive tablet running Android 3.1. I will use this for navigation in my RV, and want navigation software that works offline, like Copilot. The Copilot website does not list any tablet computers ecept for the Samsung Galaxy. I don't see why it would not work with other tablets using the same OS. Has anyone here used Copilot on an Android tablet? If so, could you offer some comments about your experience with it?

Thanks, Jerry
I don't have a tablet, but the Android version runs great on my EVO phone. Does the tablet have built-in GPS?

The only thing that might be a limiting factor may be the Android 3.1. You can send an email to ALK asking them about it - they should be able to tell you yay or nay.
It has GPS built-in. You're right, I will check with ALK. I never have much luck getting replies from software cos. Thanks
I *think* the standard version of CoPilot is fairly cheap in the Android market. If so, you could purchase that, and if it works good, upgrade to the premium version.

Also, it *may* have the refund feature, as well.
jr you might contact Dan at dtitus@alk.com Dan is a gentleman and has been very helpful.
I got a reply from ALK saying Copilot should work on the Toshiba Thrive, so I got the premium version. It seems to work fine. ALK said they have tested it on several different tablets without problems, so if you have a tablet and are considering Copilot for it, you shouldn't have a problem.
