Will try shortly, best regards, Rob

On the other hand, I just used the link that Boyd provided!

Dear Terry and Boyd, thank you for the link, it worked perfectly! Rob

I still haven't done the update, but sort of doubt that webupdater can be used. When I first got my GLO and tried to register it the usual way (by connecting it via USB), it was not recognized. I don't think the GLO has a "normal" USB interface.
tcassidy
I could not register mine either. However the WebUpdater had no trouble finding it.

Cool - thanks. Here's a post about the new features on Garmin's blog. It also says you can use webupdater. http://garmin.blogs.com/my_weblog/2013/11/garmin-glo-enables-multiple-bluetooth-connections-.html#.UpDc6RYvB5i

The ability to change the refresh rate would be a useful feature to add. It would make GLO compatible with, for example, Microsoft mapping software that only accepts 1Hz.

Another minor update to the GLO firmware: http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=5811

I ordered a new glo today will use it with my Asus netbook running Win 7 pro not the starter version. From the info posted it should work ok with Delorme Topo 8 using GPS Gate. Will be testing with several other programs also.

Delorme will work directly with the GLO...no GPS Gate needed. I am not clear whether it can find it automatically though. I just looked in Bluetooth properties to see which COM port to try and set Delorme accordingly.

It should work just fine with Delorme without GPSGate. Delorme is very flexible about setting up the GPS receiver interface.

I was hoping that the Glo would work direct thanks Terry and Ken.
