YaleTech
V9 for Laptop is now avilable for upgrade download.

What website shows that? Just went to copilotlive.com and it still shows v8.
GoneNomad
I tried to find it too.
Conspicuously absent is any mention of it in their blog: http://blog.copilotlive.com/na/

But what is confusing is when you click on "Buy Now" which takes you to the store:
http://www.copilotlive.com/us/store/truck.asp

...every version (including the laptop version) has the same icon as the newest iOS/Android version (which is different than the older v8 version shown here: http://www.copilotlive.com/us/personal/laptop.asp),
and there's also that "free upgrade" for v8 users right next to it...

The CoPilot Truck Feature Sheet here: http://www.copilotlive.com/us/brochures/cpt-Pro-feature%20sheet-7-26-12-2.pdf doesn't mention anything about "laptop," saying "CoPilot Truck is available for iPhone, iPad and Android-powered smartphones & tablets."

I tried my v8 laptop non-truck key just for laughs. It didn't work.

Sorry, forgot to tell how I got the upgrade. Click the "find out more" button.

It will only take a truck key. It then sends an e-mail with a link for upgrade and new key.

Thank you for the info! Downloading it right now. Not in the truck until next week, so can't try it out until then.

It's funny that their website still only shows info for v8.

Malaki - it is actually v9 for Windows?

If so, that should mean the regular (non-truck) version will be along soon.
malaki86
I would assume so. It's weird that they released the truck version first - they always put out the standard version before the truck.

I'll know for sure if it truly is v9 in a little while. I'll go ahead and install it here at the house on my pc. I can always deactivate it on here and reactivate it on the laptop next week.

LOL - I forgot that this pc is 32bit. I downloaded the 64bit for the laptop (which it is). Downloading the 32bit now, but it'll be another hour or so for it to finish (1.5gig).

I guess the installer name offers no clue as to the version...

I'll be interested to see if the Windows versions continue to mimic the iOS/Android versions (I assume it does).

I'm sort of hoping it does look/act the same as the Android/iOS. Since I've used them both (they're identical), I came to like the new interface.

This isn't a good start. Got up this morning and did the install of CoPilot onto the PC. Once it was finished, I ran it and was instantly asked for the product key, which was in the order summary email. I copy/pasted that and I'm prompted that the key is invalid.

Edit: Found the problem: When it asks for your product key, you'll need to manually type it in. Doing the copy/paste 'looks' right on the screen, but it apparently isn't. Once I typed it, it went right through.

From what I've seen so far, the interface is the same as the one they're using on the smartphones. Of course, I can't give it a real test until I'm in the truck.
