Problem with construction update for Streets & Trips 2013
Tom Bernardi
Anyone else having a problem with updating construction places from Microsoft?

I tried reinstalling the software, and deleting the constructionB2042101.dat file.

Still not updating and message continues to show.

Help,

Tom

Same here, but I've noticed the same issue for a while. If I install the new update around the beginning of its release (the ninth of each month, I think) I get the out-of-date message. After another attempt a few days later it says it is not.

Same problem here. Does it have to do that I am running XP and MS is stopping support for XP.

Nothing to do with XP.

I'm still getting the out-of-date message and I'm using Windows 8, so it's not your XP. This is much longer than ever before.

Last Tuesday's Windows Updates had the same problem - three updates were installed but weren't listed as such. Maybe it's a similar issue.

Finally got it to work, there is construction information shown now for the routes I tried. But the construction out of date message is still shown. but at least I have construction data to work with.

I installed S&T on my Win 7 standard and have no problems, but to be honest I haven't updated the construction data in awhile.

I have installed it now on my Win 7 Pro at work. The time I used it today, it appeared to update, but only displayed 1/8 in of the update bar, before bringing up "The most up-to-date..." box pops up and I still have the out of date in the .est file.

I've used this product for a long time and this is the first time I've encountered an issue.

Thoughts on how we can alert MS?

Hi Scubalou, and welcome to the forum. There's no need to alert MS, they are aware of the issue: http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/5025-construction-information-your-route-out-date-message-wont-go-away#post46109

I downloaded the the DAT file form MS. It's dated. August, 2013.

Could this mean that MS is going the update.

Microsoft is discontinuing S&T and Mappoint. There's nothing that can be done. I've spent last 3hrs checking.
