Microsoft Streets & Trips installation on a laptop without an optical drive
Fastphil
I bought a new laptop without an optical drive...

... and I own S&T 2013 on disc. Is there any way for me to download it from somewhere using the product code from the disc? I don't think I want to go out and buy an external DVD drive just for this.

The community here has been very helpful to me in the past, I'm hoping you guys can step up and help me again!

I am not 100% positive but there might be 2 ways of doing this 1 is to go to the Microsoft S&T web site and see if there is a way to download it directly form them using your product code proving you own it. #2 is to find someone who can put it on a Thumb Drive and then download it from there.....

I am sure if my ideas don't work someone will chime in and give you direction....

Per LeeB's first suggestion, the trial is here:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=30173

You should be able to make it your own with your product key assuming you haven't downloaded the trial to that computer previously.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try as soon as I locate the disc. That's a whole other challenge!

I found my disc, I'll transfer it onto my USB drive via my girlfriend's laptop when I get home next weekend. I'll be sure to post the results. Thanks again for helping me out!

I transferred the disc onto USB this morning and then installed onto my new laptop. Everything seems to be working. Thanks for your help, everyone!
