GPS receiver to work with Nokia N770 and Canon sureshot camera for geotagging
shikarishambu
I am looking for a GPS receiver/data logger that can work with Nokia N770 Internet Tablet and Canon sureshot camera.

My goal is to use the GPS receiver along with N770's map software for directions/ location stuff. And, use the data logger to geocode/tag photos.

Is there a single device that fits the bill?

Thanks

Hi shikarishambu,

:welcome: to Laptop GPS World.

I personally don't have experience with data loggers and geotagging of photos, and I've been hoping someone else would give you first-hand feedback. However, I think you could use pretty much any unit that is a combo: data logger / GPS receiver. Your Nokia N770 Internet Tablet is capable of both USB and Bluetooth, so it would be just up to your personal preference whether to buy one capable of Bluetooth or USB connectivity. There are quite a few of them on the market today, check your local store, or check what Semsons.com has to offer. This page, http://www.semsons.com/datalogger.html, lists data loggers, but I think some of them just log data, but are unable to function as GPS receivers for a PC or PPC. Look at those that say "GPS Receiver" in the description.
