Is there any PC software that exists for Canada/USA, that can also gives French voice guidance while traveling in the car (or user can select between English and French)?

Thanks for the answer

Garmin Mobile PC comes to mind first. Can anyone think of another laptop GPS software that speaks French?

Thanks Marvin.

It looks to be an interesting choice. Here are additional questions for this product:

1- Is Mobile PC available in a software only version that is compatible with Pharos iGPS-500 (bundled with Streets & Trips 2008)?

2- Because I am very used to MS Streets & Trips, to plan routes at home, can I achieve similar behavior with MapSource or nRoute (these need to be bought separately), or Mobile PC is enough?

Thanks for the info

Mobile PC is compatible with the S&T GPS receiver if you purchase the software-only version.

Mobile PC is capable of multiple stop routing and sorting like S&T. You can also save multiple routes. However it can't print maps or route directions as S&T does. In my opinion, it is easier to setup routes in S&T.

Mobile PC works very well with MapSource (a free download) with one caveat. You must have a map already for MapSource. You can not use the one that comes with Mobile PC.

Oh boy ! There are "Français" AND "Français Canadien"

Does the "Français Canadien" have the Quebec accent and phrasal verb ?

Coup donc ! J'imagine des directions avec l'accent du Lac St-Jean côlisse !

I can't comment on this one, as I don't speak French

He's just having some fun, Marvin. He's wondering how the directions would sound with a Lac St-Jean accent. Lac St-Jean is in the eastern townships. For, say, a Montrealer it's kind of like a New Yorker trying to understand New Orleans cajun.

In that case the answer is most certainly a yes.
