Are we going to see new laptop GPS navigation software soon? MiTAC, the company that owns Mio and Navman, will be releasing a new ultra-mobile laptop computer in Europe in November 2008. It will have a built-in GPS receiver, and satellite navigation software.

There will be a Linux and also a Windows version of the laptop. Screen size will be 8.9", and the processor will be Atom 1.6 GHz.

Let's hope the PC version of the Mio GPS software will not be only available with the purchase of a new computer, but also separately.

Hopefully the product will sell well, and MiTAC will decide to market it outside Europe, too.
