Schedule Stop Length for All Stops in Streets & Trips

When I plan out my route to inspect houses, I have to click on each stop one by one, and schedule my length of stay at each stop. This allows me to see where I will end up at the end of the day, and which motel to go to.

Is there a way to schedule a time stop for all of the stops at one time?

For instance, if I have 40 stops, and I want to schedule each one to stop for 6 minutes, is there a way to do it for all 40, or do I have to keep clicking each stop one by one and add the 6 minutes manually?

In your example, math implies 4 hours of stop time. Can't you just add that time to your trip time? If that is too long, take out 5 stops for half-hour + some driving time and you should be able to arrive at your optimum day with further such fine tuning.

Yes, I could do it that way. But I like to see where I'm at with my time, at each inspection or stop. That way I can tell if I can afford to pull over to take a nap or not.

It is a legitimate feature request, don't get me wrong. Right now, the default stop time is 00:00; why not give the user the ability to modify/customize that. After all, 00:00 is not really a stop at all.

Perhaps one possible way to add this functionality would be by making it possible for users to select several stops in Route Planner simultaneously. Currently only a single stop can be highlighted at one time.

Those are some cool feature requests by Marvin and SpadesFlush. If you go to the 'Route Planner' pane and choose 'More Options' then you would see a 'Automatic Stop' section. As of now it gives option to "stop n minutes after every hr:mm of driving". In the future, this can be extended to "stop every n minutes after every stop / alternate stops" and so on as per user needs.

Texoma, It would be good to hear lot more feedback from you so that we can know more on the needs specific to such businesses and tailor based on that if there are more interests.

Yes, thanks, I am aware of that feature and use it. But I think it is different from what we are talking about here.

I don't see such functionality in the current version, but I think this would solve the problem.

I wasn't 100% sure if you meant it as a suggestion for a future version, or something that is present now. Yes, Gladwin, I think this would be welcome by a number of users. People who do many deliveries each day would be able to allocate approximate time needed at each location. It would certainly solve the problem of the original poster. And I've heard the same feature requests in the past on a few other occasions.

I am a HUD FHA inspector of foreclosed homes and I inspect anywhere from 10 to 40 homes a day depending on the housing density of the area. It normally takes about 10 minutes to do my walk through with photos. The routes change constantly so it is quite a task to add the times each change. I also like to look at the time on the route directions to see if I am on schedule for the day or if I need to pick up my pace or change my route around. This is especially important as the winter days get short and thus less daylight hours.

Just de-lurking to chime in in agreement that this would be a NICE feature to have.

So has any heard from Microsoft about adding this? I need it as well.
