Truckers GPS

I am very interested in purchasing a GPS. I drive an 18 wheeler, mostly in mid to south eastern USA. How do I determine which GPS would be best for me without purchasing a promise that is not a truckers unit. I have just purchased the navaworld professional unit and have found that it will send you a route that is not a truck route when you are in truck mode. Thanks Clyde

Re: Truckers GPS

Hi Clyde Olds,

to Laptop GPS World.

Yes, it is not possible to just enter destination, and then drive the plotted route. It is still necessary to check the plotted route, and edit it, modify it, as required. This is much easier to accomplish on a larger screen of a laptop computer, then on anything else.

Thanks so much for the information about ALK CoPilot Laptop 11. This navaworld is my first gps. I have a few questions about it. As I learn, I will pass it on. Thanks

I don't have much good to say about CoPilot 11. I use ALK CoPilot 9 on a daily basis.
