Many people read the forums at work, where co-workers (or the boss) may glance at the screen unexpectedly. Others may read these pages at home, where young children may look what daddy or mommy is doing on the computer. In order to keep Laptop GPS World work-friendly and family-friendly, I enabled "Censored Words" feature. When words deemed inappropriate are posted, they will appear for example as *****.

Please, don't perceive this as an attack on freedom of speech.

LOL, Ben, words can be added to the list as needed. But honestly, this site hasn't had issues with inappropriate words being posted, other than perhaps one recent occasion, which prompted me to enable this "feature". I don't anticipate too much need for this at this type of a forum.

This is actually a standard feature of the software this forum is based on. This forum uses vBulletin. Wayne, I quickly looked at your Blue Line Forum. The software you guys use is phpBB. My guess would be that such functionality is available to you guys too. Either directly through pbpBB, or through some add-on.

It's a standard feature of phpBB. You can put any words in the list that you want and what you want to replace them with.
