Street Atlas 2009 Installation Problems

Encounter "Find Tab did not initalize" after installing Street Atlas 2009 on a Vista Home Premium 64 bit system. Have exhausted all of the Delorme technical support help. Encountered same problem with Street Atlas 2008. Any ideas?

Is '09 the only one installed?

Removed and reinstalled?

Street Atlas 2009 is the only one installed. It has been reinstalled multiple times.

If you are receiving a "Find Tab Did Not Initialize (ISO error)" error message, you will need to download and install DeLorme Magnetic Declination Update to correct this issue.

Another tip is after a new install of ANY software is to reboot the unit BEFORE trying to use the newly installed software.

Magnetic Declination Update does not apply to 2009. Only 2005 and below. I did install it but to no avail.

Delorme uses a database engine that is not installed on your computer.

To install the Jet 4.0 components, follow these steps:
  1. Download MDAC 2.6 or later and the redistributable Jet 4.0 Service Pack 3 from the following Microsoft Web site:
    http://www.microsoft.com/data
  2. In Windows Explorer, double-click the mdac_typ.exe file you downloaded in step 1 to begin the MDAC setup.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. In Windows Explorer, double-click the Jet40SP3_Comp.exe you downloaded in step 1 to begin the Jet 4.0 setup.
  5. Restart your computer.
  6. Run SA and everything should be fine
