DeLorme Street Atlas voice volume problem on Acer Aspire One

Hello: I am using Street Atlas 2009 on an Acer One lap book...Works great with the Delorme Earthmate...But, I cannot get the volume of the voice up to a decent level...I can hear it if I put my ear down on the speaker, but that's not a good idea while driving! Other sound levels from the Acer are fine in other programs, and I have turned up all of the volume controls I can find, so I think the problem is with the program....It recognizes my voice commands with no problem...Any suggestions would be welcome! In DeLorme Street Atlas, on the Tool Bar, click the Options button, select Options > Voice Settings > Voice Volume. If it shows 100%, than you may have a few other alternatives:

• External amplified speakers
• Output the PC sound to the car sound system via AUX connector, if the car has one, or via an FM transmitter
• Install software sound amplifier on your laptop

I solved the volume problem by reloading the sound driver in the Acer eRecovery control panel! Now the volume is adequate...Not really loud, but very usable...
