DeLorme Street Atlas has a coronary & and offers no help
I was returning to west Georgia from Wichita, KS. The route includes a section of U.S. 78 between Memphis and Birmingham. The portion of that highway in Alabama is relatively new and not shown in most GPS units. Generally, that’s not a problem. The highway is well marked. However, going into Birmingham things have also changed.
Just so you’ll know, I thoroughly dislike driving anywhere in Birmingham. I’d rather be set on fire for 15 minutes than have to negotiate the streets there. Anyway, I cranked up DeLorme Street Atlas 2009 and help navigate through Birmingham to get to U.S, 280. I was in a location that was not mapped and SA went bananas. It didn’t know where to locate me on the map so both the driving icon and the map kept moving around even though the vehicle was not moving. SA offered absolutely no help in telling me where I was.
Queston: Are there any settings that would have allowed Street Atlas to show my location even without being on a street?
