Need advice downloading routes to multiple devices

I have been making and downloading bike routes on MapSource to my Garmin 76CX. My friend just bought a 705 and, while traveling, we want to download the same routes from my laptop to both GPSs.

How do I get MapSource to recognize the 705 so we can do that?

Does the 705 have a cable to connect it to the computer? If so, just connect it and Mapsource should recognize it. I've never had to do anything special to get Mapsource to recognize one of my devices.
