Transfer maps from Garmin Mobile PC to MapSource

I see a few topics and posts talking about how to transfer maps from MapSource to Garmin Mobile PC, but can it be done the other way around ?

I just got my new GMPC and it came with City Navigator North America 2010 NT. I'd like to transfer the maps to MapSource. When I tried "Receive from Device" I immediately got a "Complete" message but no files were copied.

No, the maps that come with Mobile PC are already compiled and can't be added to MapSource.
