Re: Review: Garmin Mobile PC
Hi, I'm a newbee so don't be hard on me... I use iGo for PC (Panasonic notebook and an ordinary GPS), but never used to see how Garmin Mobile PC really works. Is anyone here which tested both? Any pros and cons?
thx

Re: Review: Garmin Mobile PC
Mapping features look good but if I have internet connection while in my car I'd certainy want traffic info rather than hotels/weather/flights.
This is the "killer" feature that I'd pay extra for

It sounds like you might be a candidate for topographical maps so you can go get lost on the backroads and mountain fireroads. What kind of equipment do you have?

Re: Review: Garmin Mobile PC
Great thread guys. There's a ton of good information here. I'd actually use it in the car for every day navigation (with Centrafuse).

Garmin Mobile PC should work great on your HP laptop. It has all the features and a complete set of North America maps.

Re: Review: Garmin Mobile PC
I don't know the product, but I still have the original GPS receiver for the first version of S&T that had it available, so a newer and better version would be nice to have and as a pensioner, I hate paying :-) so I hope I win

When I go to the Weather tab, There's a line of text saying something along the lines of "Weather isn't available because they're changing providers." Not exact, but that's the idea of what it says.

Re: Review: Garmin Mobile PC
Mojowy, Centrafuse is a "front end" software used by some "CarPC" enthusiasts to control freequently used programs, such as navigation, music, etc. Have a look at this thread.
