I still have a copy of GMPC with 20x but don't have a 20x. However, I can tell what your problem is (except for the 'c'?). You have not entered the license number yet, so the CNNA map doesn't show and the MapSource button doesn't show.

Enter the product key (which is on a green label inside the dvd case) and everything should be as in the previous pictures.

I cannot say I know it for a fact, but nothing that I have read, or experienced myself, leads me to believe that the two software versions are different in any way. I think the w/GPS and w/out GPS products include the same software.

I think my GMPC is activated. When I click on the the little satellite picture on your screen shot 1 it has recognized the 20x (and it is working). Therefore I do not get screen shots 2,3,4. But I do not see the mapsource button. However I am able to make up a mapsource set of maps, including locked and free maps. On transfer it just replaces what ever was previously in GMPC.

GMPC does not have to be activated when used with a 20x. Activation allows it to use any GPS. That is why a green sticker comes with the software version but not with the 20x version.

If you use locked maps, they must be unlocked to the 20x to be usable in GMPC. I can't test unlocked maps as I don't have a 20x. I'll see if I can borrow one to check that.
