Garmin Mobile PC and Garmin USB GPS

I know that, it was just an example, I just have two GPS receivers, a Garmin 10x (Sirf) and Holux m1000b (MTK), and I use it with GMPC and nRoute (notebook mod to 12.1 PNA) and GMXT (cellphone and pda).
Both gps receiver are very good, but Holux offer more conectivity in m1000b bluetooth, rs232 and usb, and for me that is very important

can i use this patch for 5.00.60? 5.00.50g's intersection search is broken.

I didn't try 5.00.60 yet
The patched exe was tested only in 5.00.50g version.
I made the test with Legend Cx and Vista Hcx, and must works with others USB.

Tried this with my Vista CX and it worked great. Then connected my 60CSX and it did not recognize it. Does this patch not work with 60CSX or did I do something wrong? Thanks so much for sharing this info!!

I do not have 60CSx for testing, I think it has NMEA and Garmin Protocol, try changing that.

About 5 minutes after I made my first post, I remembered that I hadn't changed the unl file to match the 60CSX. Once that was corrected it worked great. So to others, it "will" work perfectly with a 60CSX. Thanks again for sharing, very impressive work...

I was searching online regarding my problems with GPS18 & Mobile PC. I had nRoute on Vista previously & it worked like a charm with GPS18. Installed Mobile PC & connected GPS 18 & was getting the error message could not authenticate GPS device. Downloaded ProITMs ProITM.exe & ran it from the the garmin folder. Still the same error. I dont have any idea on what to do.

Help any one.

Not sure why you would have had this problem with the Mobile PC but I don't have the GPS18 module, as I use a handheld unit. Seems like I might have read somewhere that Mobile PC needed the GPS 20 module but don't quote me on this as I'm not sure I'm correct on this.

Is it possible you are using GMPC v5.00.60 and the update was written for v5.00.50. I don't have the right type of GPS18 to try it but its worth checking.

In fact I tried .10 .50 & .60 alll give me the same error. Hmmm

I tested GPS18 with .10 .30 and .50 all worked perfectly. The patched version is for .50 also works but not needed for GPS18 only for Garmin handheld usb.
