You can tell it to search all PR so - no, it can't find that street name. I do see Carolina and Isla Verde though. Could it be a spelling thing?

I think that it may be more of a street that's called 2 or 3 different names. I did two different searches with 2 different street names and they both came to the same place. I did 7012 Bosa De Cangrejos Ave, in Isle Verde, PR and I also did 7012 Isle Verde Av, in Carolina, PR and they both went to the same place. HHMMMM

Welp, although I never found your addresses.. I would think.. if we got in Puerto rico.. and just viewed map.. it would show a Marriott under the Other features.. Hotels.. and you would then get directions to it.. just a guess though as none of those seem to work for me.
it was not fruitless in any case..I now know there is a florida and carolina in Puerto Rico... ![]() |

I did find a Marriot San Juan Resort at 1309 Avenida Asford ?
and a courtyard on isla verde! bet its a Marriot Courtyard resort? lol, hey if google earth shows you a route..put it into your laptop.. probably the best way.. but I am kinda favoring the idea its an address error.. been fun... I love my GMPC with 20x! Last edited by Justaguyin_nc; June 25th, 2008 at 11:51 PM. |

I found it by doing a POI search in Garmin Mobile PC. It is listed as Courtyard-Isla Verde Beach Resort. It's right beside the airport. I suspect the problem may be older map data. The POI seems to be on a very short no-named street. Perhaps Google Maps was able to find it as it uses newer map data, © 2008 Navteq, as opposed to Garmin Mobile PC, which I believe is © 2007 Navteq.

It works with nRoute. I just ordered Mobile PC, so I'll know in a week or so if works with it also. |

And does this function requires Internet connection? |

It needs an internet connection to Garmin on-line. That's how it knows.

Thanks, Terry. I just downloaded trial version and I'm playing with it. (I even overlooked the fact, that it is 3:30 AM already
) I don't have any maps, but I know all the fuel prices in northern Metro Atlanta! Great feature, if only will be accurate. My fuel tanks hold 300 gallons, just 5 cent/gallon price difference makes 15 dollars savings. I have Garmin nRoute in my laptop (which I never use). Is it possible to transfer maps from that program? Or do I have to wait for full version I just bought? BTW I wish I knew about GMPC before I waisted $200 on ALK CoPilot. ![]() |

If you have nRoute, you must have MapSource. You can transfer maps via MapSource (upgrade to the latest version first) to GMPC, however the way they are locked in nRoute to a particular GPS does not work the same in GMPC. I don't think you could use them unless they are not locked. Possibly Topo maps fall into that category. Also, I never tried the trial version so can't say if any maps work with it.

polonus, go to franson.com/forum and search for: garmin mobile pc. You will find a thread in which three users mention the incompatibility of GPS Gate and Garmin Mobile PC. If you find that the two programs don't work with each other on your laptop either, then you may let it be known in that thread, if you wish. As far as I know, the problem has not been solved yet [as of today, July 3, 2008].

http://cgi.ebay.com/8-VGA-TFT-LCD-To...QQcmdZViewItem The touch screen is just an external monitor. You can have both on or toggle between the two. On my laptop you use the F4 key. Yours may be different. |
