Check out this Nikon Coolpix underwater case for $35. http://www.goshotcamera.com/product/...NIK_1?meta=FRG A friend did some diving in the South Pacific with one of these and I was amazed about the color, clarity and sharpness of his videos. I don't know if a Coolpix can be rigged for a webcam, but it may be worth looking into. Dennis |

Oh yes malaki86, I've seen your photos, very nice set up... I'll need to take some photos of my mount, it has changed a couple times since I've had the truck (2003 GMC C-6500).

Just posted a message about the provincial government in Ontario, Canada wanting to ban all non-GPS electronics from driver-viewing (and that includes laptops!):

I have been warned by a DOT Officer when i pulled up along his little hut window at the scale in Arizona as you head westbound on Interstate 10 from New Mexico.

In Quebec, laptops screens visible to the driver are allowed while driving if used in GPS mode only and mounted according to regulations. A laptop on the passenger seat is not allowed. What you do with the laptop when legally parked (btw, stopping on the highway is prohibited) is your own business. As soon as the vehicle is moving, the law and regulations apply.
I've used mine for DVDs for my kids on a three day long trip. The screen was only visible to the backseat passengers (my kids). From my position it was absolutely impossible to see the movie. Even an indirect reflection of the screen in that case is not allowed. Last edited by toyfountain; November 3rd, 2008 at 01:20 AM. |

Now that Quebec law is reasonable.
Edit: Nevermind, I found your post in the other thread! Do you have any links or documents to the Quebec legislation? I'm going to write some letters to the MPP and Minister of Transport to consider making some amendments. |

The link is right at the top of the quote in the other thread. It's a pdf document which can be downloaded.
