There are also many Hot Spot collections available on the web that you could import into the application. I can't personally vouch for their accuracy but you could give them a try.

If you have Vista you can just right-click on the network icon in the system tray (lower right, by the clock) and select "Connect to network". Let it look for wireless networks. It will give you a list of all the wireless networks it can see and tell you whether each is secure or not.
I don't know if XP has a similar feature because my laptop has Vista and it's my first laptop. ...ken... |
