While the ASUS R50A is still about a year from being in a store near you, the ASUS R2E can already be pre-ordered from Best Buy (ETA 1 to 2 weeks).

I have the R2Hv with the built in GPS although the GPS works fine I'm not real thrilled about Streets & Trips 2007. Right after I purchased the R2Hv we went on a vacation and I had my route all setup.

During one of the trips in a busy downtown area I got caught in traffic and missed a turn, that's when I found out the Streets & Trips won't re-route to get you back on track. My first GPS, my first lesson!

Maybe I'll win the next iGuidance contest if I don't buy it first.

Yes, Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007 (or the current 2008) is not the easiest application to use for in-car navigation - especially not on a Ultra-Mobile PC. However, if you still have the 2007 version installed, the lack of automatic re-routing can be fixed within a minute. Just download the 2007 version of S&T Keys - Hotkeys for Microsoft Streets & Trips and you will have automatic re-routing instantly. Alternatively, you may buy the new Streets & Trips 2008, which does have a built-in auto-reroute. Or you may choose something more driver friendly from the http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/pc-gps...s-reviews.html .
