A Canadian...looking for Canadian source for iGuidance?

I was in Buffalo, NY yesterday so I thought that I'd look around the "big box" stores (Best Buy, Staples, WalMart) for a copy... No luck, so I called Inav to ask, got their voice mail, left a message... They got back to me once I was back in Toronto...

They have NO suppliers on the eastern end of the USA!!!???!!!

I told them that I was actually in Toronto, Ontario, Canada... I just happened to be in Buffalo at the time... Anyhoo, they emailed me a list of Canadian Dealers... Most of them don't seem to have 2009 in stock... The ones that "do have it" need 3 to 4 days before you can come pick it up... Or as I found out from another Dealer literally down the street from me, it HAS to be shipped to me, because it comes direct from his "US Warehouse"...

So, I'm thinking that Inav are the only ones who actually have their software on hand... I don't understand this, I've only been using the older version 4 for a few weeks now, and I really want 2009... It's a SUPER AWESOME product... As I outlined in my last email to Inav, it's so awesome, I took my Garmin Nuvi off the windshield of my car the same day I got the software installed in my in car Computer...

I hope to hear back from Inav, I had a few questions, and a couple suggestions...

Yes, but have you looked at Garmin Mobile PC. Now that's awesome! And the learning curve after using a Nuvi is zero!

And...you can buy it in Canada!!!

I would echo Terry. I have both Mobile PC 2009 and iGuidance 2009. Mobile PC looks just as nice on the laptop as iGuidance and has the same interface as a Nuvi. To visualize Mobile PC, just imagine your Nuvi on that nice big laptop screen.

Err... okay, maybe I'll have to look at that program... since iGuidance is playing hard to get... It can be found easily?

GPS Central (Calgary), GPS City (Calgary), Prairie Geomatics (Minnedosa, MB) are all Canadian suppliers on the internet who carry Mobile PC. I'm sure there are lots more.
