If she has
iGuidance 2009, she doesn't need to select a COM port. As soon as
GPSGate has found the 20x and the icon in the task tray turns dark green, she can run iGuidance and it will probably start navigation immediately without any intervention. She can tell if she clicks on the little satellite icon just below the menu bar. When the satellite display comes up it should have the signal strength bars happening and a location will display already or shortly after opening.
I couldn't find any way to manually force iGuidance to select a specific COM port. Under the TOOLS menu there is a selection for GPS setup. The only entry it has is "Auto Scan" on my installation (UMPC interface). Is there another menu selection somewhere for manual port selection?
