Default iGuidance 4.0 searching for intersection

Hi

I was using iguidance 4 on my dell pda x51v and when I went to search the intersection Warden and Ellesmere (in Toronto), it just took forever to to first search for Warden and then for Ellesmere.

This is just an example. I did not have problems like this on v3. Is it becausde it now has the entire map of North America? I even tried entering the city first, but the same issue occurred.

However, searching for a specific address is fairly quick.

Anyone experiencing this? Any workarounds?

Hey guyfromtor, it's good to see you here! Yes, iG4 is a bit slower when performing the above mentioned intersection search. It can be helped a little bit by starting with the shorter street (if you know which one of the two is shorter). For example, on my slow PDA phone when I type in "Warden" and click "OK" it takes 5 seconds for it to get to the next screen. Then when I do "Ellesmere" in the next step, it takes another 4 seconds to get to next screen. However, if I start with Ellesmere first (shorter street), and do Warden second, it takes 3 seconds for the first street, and 2 seconds for the second street.

It's faster on my mobile PC, though .

It may be a good idea to occasionally check iNav web site www.inavcorp.com or here at Laptop GPS World for an announcement of a new patch file. Usually, a few months after a major version release there is a patch file available with some fixes and enhancements.
