Default Using "Record Track"

Hi all,

Okay, let's say that I'm going down the road and the GPS is on and I am also using "Record Track" in iGuidance 4.

Now let's say that for some reason that I need to play the track a couple of days later before a judge to prove that I was not speeding. This happened to me a while back when their rookie cop caught a car passing me when I was doing the speed limit but he was so far away he couldn't visually see who was actually speeding. (I just got a warning ticket but I was not speeding)

I do know that it does record the speed traveling at a specific location on the track. But so far all I know how to do is start at the beginning and go to the end. Unfortunately on a 300 or 400 mile trip I might have to run it a considerable length of time to reach the point in question.:

Finally, my question is can you start the track playing from the middle or any other point on the track or possibly have a fast-forward so the time needed to get to the point in question is far less?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Albert (who sets his cruise control on the speed limit and leaves it there).

Default Re: Using "Record Track"

I haven't played with this feature in iGuidance 4 for a long time. If I recall correctly the feature creates a file, which is really a text file (openable for example in a Notepad). I think it contains the NMEA sentences, which include time info and location info. You could try to search for the time segment you need, and then delete the rest and save the file. Then try to play it.

There may be better solutions to your project, perhaps others will give you more ideas to explore.
