iGuidance 4.0 and Contacts

I am trying to enter a destination from my contacts on my PPC and when I select one I get an error "bad or missing strabbr.bin". I have checked the PPC and the Ver 4.0 install CD and the file is not there. Is there a way to create this fie???

Welcome to Laptop GPS World.

The file stabbr.bin is supposed to be located in \iNav iGuidance\Maps folder. The file was mistakenly not included in the installation DVD - at least it wasn't included in the first batch of DVDs, when iGuidance 4 first released.

I just checked my iGuidance 4 installation on PPC, but I don't have the file there. When I come home (in a few hours), I will check if I have the file on one of my PCs. If I do find it, I will let you know. If I don't find it, I'll advise you to contact iNav support, who will very likely send you the file (the file is very small, only about 3kb).

Check your e-mail. I just sent you strabbr.zip file as attachment. Un-zip it, and then place the strabbr.bin file into \iNav iGuidance\Maps folder. Let me know if it corrects the issue with your Outlook contacts & iGuidance 4.

Other users experiencing this issue, please contact iNav Corporation Tech Support, as only they have the right to distribute files belonging to their product. I only sent the above mentioned file to a couple of users to test if this issue could be fixed by adding the missing stabbr.bin file.

could someone please email me this stabbr.bin file as well. I used iNav 3.0 for years and it never pulled from my contacts, so i upgraded to iNav 4.0 and now same thing. I wrote the iNav guys about this a week ago and they never responded to me. really makes me think about trying tom tom out. Anyway, if its not to much trouble for someone to forward it along to me as well. thanks.
