Install Photos - 1992 Jeep Cherokee (XJ)

I've got some photos up of my install.

Vehicle is a 1992 Jeep Cherokee (XJ).
The display is a Panasonic CF-VLD02. It's a 1024x768 1200nit Touchscreen. Readability is excellent, even on bright, clear, cloudless days here in Denver.

The display is mounted with a custom bracket on to a RAM mobile pedestal (the older style using 3/4 NPT pipe) with a double swing arm, bolted to the passenger side of the transmission tunnel. The whole thing can be removed in a couple of minutes by removing one bolt, leaving behind only the baseplate.

I've attached a 4 port USB 2.0 hub to the right side rear of the display using double-stick tape. Plugged in to the hub are the keyboard (generic $9 miniature usb keyboard) and a BU-353 gps receiver.

The GPS receiver is mounted magnetically to the dash by way of a 2 in. fender washer painted to match the dash, and stuck there with double stick tape.

The display is driven by a Panasonic CF-28 Toughbook laptop. It's currently sitting on the floor of the back seat, but I'm working on something better.

Also visible are my Garmin 60CSx, which does navigation duties when the computer is not in the car (most of the time), Kenwood TM-D700 radio, and Yaesu 857.

Still a few things to clean up, but overall I'm quite happy with it.

It's a 12.1 inch display.

also, somehow I managed to write that my jeep is a 2001. It's not, it's a 1992. Don't know how that happened

That Panasonic is a true 4:3 rather than widescreen. I have never seen a touchscreen that size. It must have been built for a special purpose. Looks like a great setup!
