Hi Guys: I have returned from my travels, which were complicated by the fact I was lost much of the time!!! My new itek M7 did not perform. I finally worked out the install on my Fujitsu U810 by calling tech support who had me download the file from the site that Terry mentioned and was able to find the bluetooth manager. However, the itek would still not give enough of a signal for the Garmin Mobile PC to recognize. That and the select and on/off switch came off the unit on our first attempt to use it in the field. I am going to have to return it to Semsons as I couldn't find the plastic piece, but all in all this has been frustrating and expensive. I am wondering if I just got a very defective unit, or if I am missing something simple or non obvious in the connection protocol. Thank you, Holodoc

This does not sound like a Bluetooth problem. Bluetooth is either connected or it is not; there is no low signal situation.
Could it be a coated windshield issue? Did you try it out in the open to see what the signal strength looked like? Terry |

Thanks Terry: I did try the apparatus in the out-of-doors and got a similar result. I want to say that I have talked with the Semson people and they have been extremely accommodating. I have been invited to come to their place of business with my set up where they will replace the unit and walk me through the installation and operation. What a wonderful experience to deal with an online company that is actually interested in my situation. I recommend them highly. RRN

Yes, they are exceptionally good with customers. If there ever is an issue like this, they will bend backwards to accommodate a customer - even if it ends up costing them. I've read testimonies, just like the one above by Holodoc, many many times. They have very good product knowledge, too. It truly is an honor for Laptop GPS World that Semsons gives our members discounted price on purchases in their store.
