Rogers is entering Ultra-Mobile PC market in Canada


Rogers Wireless Inc., the Canada's largest wireless voice and data communications services provider, has partnered with HTC America to bring to Canadian market HTC Shift, an Ultra-Mobile PC based on Windows Vista operating system.

I like the keyboard. However the Shift only runs an 800 Mhz processor. My r2h uses a 900 Mhz processor and Vista Business is a dog on it. I wonder how it will go over?

Yeah, this was the main reason I didn't buy OQO2 or Sony UX . I'd love something so small, so convenient to take with me everywhere. I'd keep it on my 24/7. But I'm just not certain if the speed would satisfy my needs. Perhaps it would - but for how long...

Nevertheless, I'm happy to see this UMPC marketed here. It may help popularize this form factor.
