Copy/paste to Word adds garbage characters (Streets & Trips via Parallels on Mac)

Here's a weird one...

I'm getting ready for a couple trips this month. I generated the driving directions and selected 'Copy Directions'.

(remember, I'm running Microsoft Streets & Trips via Parallels on my Mac)

I then go into Microsoft Word 2008 on the Mac side then paste.

All comes out fine but after the end of the pasted text, there are any number of random characters - which I simply highlight and erase.

Anyone ever seen this?

I'm not sure what to suggest, hopefully others will have an explanation and/or a work-around for this. My first instinct would have been to open a Notepad, and try to paste the content there first, instead of to MS Word, but that may not help either.
