Point taken; installation and activation was a pain, although in fairness to Pharos, neither Vista nor Win7 was around when they sold it to me; and they did get it working on my copy of XP / S&T07 with the help of Xport...
My intent was to comment on its sensitivity when in use rather than ease of use when installing.

I've never done this so I'll toss out one possibility that occurs to me.
If you decide to try this, as with anythng that hasn't been tested thoroughly, save a copy of your original .EST files somewhere safe before having a go.
Load one of the .EST files and save it as a template. Now load the template file, load the second .EST file and re-save the template. Reload the template file and it should now have the information from the two files in it. Load the third .EST file. The data from all three should now be there so you should be able to save this file as an .EST file instead of a template. Or continue to use it as a template if you prefer.
Remember I have not tried this so it might not work the way I'm expecting it will. And there might be a much simpler way to do it that perhaps someone can share with us.

The point of my comment has nothing to do with Windows 7; The Pharos 500 will work very well in Win 7 directly with S&T via USB and the appropriate driver (no GPS Gate needed). However, I don't think others should consider the Pharos BT sled as a good purchase these days due to the issues it presents and that better BT GPS devices are available. As you already had one, it was great you got it going and a good learning experience as well!

No as the routing data does not include overheight or load limit information.

Re: Review: Microsoft Streets and Trips
How does one submit a suggestion to Microsoft for a missing S&T feature? I cannot seem to find a thread on the support.microsoft.com website.

There are several very active members of the Microsoft S&T team contributing to this forum. The practice here is to add your suggestions to the wishlist.

Re: Review: Microsoft Streets and Trips
I found Microsoft Streets and Trips 2010 at Best Buys in store for $39.99.
I might be a little old fashion, but I really liked the feature MS&T use to have where you had a choice of either the hand or arrow cursor, so I could draw a square for the area I wanted to see or use the hand cursor to move the map around.
And I really like the feature that lets me send the map to my GPS.

Re: Review: Microsoft Streets and Trips
The hand and arrow cursor are now in the same place. To draw a square to zoom to, hold down the right mouse button while drawing.

Thank you so much indeed. Goes to show you can teach an 'ol dog, (or 'ol truck driver), a new trick.
