Default 'Favorites' and 'Home' in Microsoft Streets and Trips

Newbie here....
How do I set my Home address location and how do I set favorite location? How do you then retrieve them say, to get home from a location or to get to a favorite destination?
Thanks So Much...

Hi Rich,

Welcome to Laptop GPS World.

The current version of Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008 doesn't have Home and Favorite Destinations feature built-in. Let's hope future versions will include this basic functionality.

However, you could try the free S&T Keys add-on. It adds both features. Pressing the Home-key on your keyboard will set the program to navigate you to your home (or any pre-set destination). Pressing F8-key will bring up the following dialog box listing you favorite destinations.

To solve the problem you describe, I have created an extremely simple itinerary that consists soley of my home address as BOTH the start and end of a route in Route Planner, hit "Get Directions", and then saved the .est file where S&T can easily find it. Then when I am creating a new itinerary that starts and ends at home, I just open the .est file and start adding stops.

Be sure, however, to save that new itinerary with a new .est file name or you will have wiped out your home .est file.
