Streets and Trips 2009 works on my Smartphone

I have loaded Streets & Trips 2009 to my Smartphone HTC Maple and works perfect after pairing with my Bluetooth GPS. Except one thing: it only allows me to load small maps say Toronto or DC (where I go often). Not a whole province or whole state despite that I have enough card space.

Do you know if the Streets & Trips 2010 still limits the size of maps in PPC or smart phone? This limiting feature in S&T were in all previous editions as I have several of them.

This forum is so friendly that I just may find some info from knowledgeable members

Daniel

Daniel, are you talking about Streets & Trips, or Pocket Streets? I don't think Pocket Streets was included in Streets & Trips 2009. It was discontinued in version 2006, if I recall correctly.

If you are not referring to Pocket Streets, but indeed S&T, then tell us what operating system your phone uses?

In that case Daniel must be running Packet Streets, and the version number '2009' must have been a typo.

Do the current versions of Streets&Trips still allow you to load map segments to Pocket Streets? If so, he could be using 2009 on the PC and whatever the last version of Pocket Streets on the Maple.

Good thinking, Ken. That may be what Daniel is doing. I no longer have the 2009 version, so I cannot check that. I checked that in Streets & Trips 2010, but that feature is no longer present.

I have checked in the 2009 version and cannot see anywhere where it can export to pocket streets... I think that feature is gone a long time ago...

Gee your guys are really knowledgeable.
I have loaded up Pocket Street 2006 on my smart phone of Win mobile 6.1
I can load up (export map) maps of cities, put that in the smartphone card and open it. Not larger area though
I did not know that this option is not there in 09 version

Re: Streets and Trips 2009 works on my Smartphone

BTW HTC Maple is the cheapest smart phone with trackball and it is as cool as the more expensive Blackberry. I got that full price at Windmobile Can $300 , unlock that at Can$20 and use it for Fido. I will be switching to Windmobile in a few months time though.
No clue if it is available in the U S yet

The GPS function of the smartphone (Pocket Street) is limited only to locate myself. No voice command as far as I can see
