BestBuy.com has a special on Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008 with GPS Locator - $49.99. However, BestBuy.ca up here in Canada sell the same product for $129.99 - what's up with that?

There are mail forwarding services which will receive packages for you in the US, and reship to Canada. Typically they charge an annual fee that is competitive with a post-office box, plus a per-shipment and per-kilogram fee for sending it onward to Canada.

The US dollar is so weak now, relatively to price levels in the US and Canada, that you could easily recoup the fees if you buy a lot of stuff online, even without spectacular discounts.

Yeah, that might be useful if you buy a few items per month.
There is actually a place in one of the border crossing called "Address in the U.S" which provides you with exactly that. (mind you some companies will require an American credit card for payment.)

The thing is also the principle - It's basically the same market - our dollar is at par - We want the same deal
Shipping, duties, taxes etc. who wants to deal with that!
