Red face Streets & Trips 2008 Connected Services device (DBR-100) signal booster

Anybody have an idea to boost signal strength ?
The connect service is working when I hang on my home(naperville il) window blind(signal strenth range is 50 to 100%), but as soon as move it and place it on a table it stop working and the signal strength is 0 %. The device property shows Frenquency is 93.90 MHZ.

Of cause it is not working in my car and just showing "Finding coverage area" but the GPS is working all time.
I am using two diffent lap top and having same problem.

Thank you for any idea.

Hi 605400,

to Laptop GPS World.

I read somewhere, or I was told, that the actual FM antenna is inside the grey box, and only the location of the box should matter. However, in my experience also the location of the cable, leading from the box, affects signal strength received. When in my truck, I need to make sure the first one or two feet of the cable coming from the box can see through the window. Otherwise the FM signal strength will be 0 (zero), and it will just simply not work.
