Easy way to add old pushpins to Streets & Trips 2009

Gladwin, that's excellent! This will make things easier for people. I copied your posting into its own thread, so it can be easily located and linked, if needed. Also I changed the link to the zip file in the new thread so anyone can download the file, without being logged in (no need to be a registered member here at the site to download the file).

Thanks Gladwin for the template. I did try this earlier this weekend and imported all the pins then saved them as a template. Sorry I didn't say that earlier as you obviously went through a lot of trouble to do that.

Not all of the pushpins are in there though. The flags are missing which is something I posted in another thread.

Thanks Gladwin, both work now. I don't know why the attachment id link didn't work for me yesterday.

I'm not sure either . I tested it on three computers, the original link worked fine .

I downloaded one of these files you suggested and indeed, it does add the symbols from my 2007 S & T. However, it seems to me that before having downloaded that patch, one could change the color of the icons in the 2009 version. I can no longer do that.

Secondly, when I transport my 2007 version maps to the 2009, some of my map points have some address plugged in the middle and it cannot be removed. Furthermore, when I use a 2007 version, each map point still displays as a pushpin, thus requiring each individual map point (about 10 thousand of them in my case) to be individually corrected to the original icon.

I'm just a dummy at this so I am hoping one of you folks can enlighten me on how to correct this.

Actually it is not children's play it is long established etiquette on the internet. A little outdated maybe but still followed. Many old timers may just pass on by such posts and not bother to read them and thus you could miss valuable advise about your problem.
