Default How to view Altitude / Elevation in Streets & Trips 2009?

I just bought S&T 2009 with the GPS Receiver, and everything works fine. There's only one thing: I thought the GPS pane displayed current altitude, ie, elevation of your location above sea level. I looked around all the settings and options, and haven't found how to view elevation. Any ideas?

PS: I'm new to GPS stuff; sorry if I'm missing the obvious.

Elevation/Altitude information is shown is in the 'GPS Sensor' dialog. To view the GPS Sensor dialog you need to close the GPS Pane, when GPS tracking is ON.

Interestingly, it is possible to view altitude also in GPS task pane, but you will most likely not see it there when you first start Streets & Trips. In my experience the altitude and time will appear in GPS task pane a second or two after I start driving.

The the 'GPS Sensor' dialog has the altitude (and other) information available as soon as Streets & Trips (and GPS) starts.

Thanks, all.

I obviously haven't gone on an actual 'run' yet; I set up in my backyard.

BTW: The Pharos unit came with the box I bought at Best Buy in Texas.
