I agree, the new
"Perspective Map" feature in
Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008 seems to have been released before the programmers had a chance to finish the feature properly. The current implementation of the feature is not practical to use (I doubt anyone is using it). Let's hope the programmers will have enough time and resources to complete the job this time around.
Two things need to happen before people can use the new "Perspective Map" feature:
1. GPS location icon needs to be pinned to the bottom center of the map, and
2. users should be able to enable dynamic turn view (automatic zoom) as well, while the Perspective Map" is enabled.
