Multiple Routes

It seems to me that it would be extremely helpful if you could make multiple routes in the same file instead of having to "remove" the route and start a new one, or start a new route in a separate file.

Microsoft Streets & Trips is the easiest to use when making a route. However, I have to use Garmin MapSource if I want to look at more than one route without starting a separate file. This is very helpful when you are planning a long route and wanting to compare the best roads, versus the distance and time.

I want to show multiple routes hopefully in different colours in one file with AutoRoute. Did you figure out how to do it?

One thing, although far from ideal, you can do in either Streets and Trips 2010 Autoroute 2010 is to create a route in the usual fashion and then trace over it with the Highlighter tool, select a unique color for that particular route, clear the route, create a new route, trace over that, color, etc. until all routes are done. This will show various routes on the map and the distances of each.

The obvious deficiency of this approach is that you only have these Highlight traces on the map; you do not have driving directions, stops, or other route data for anything except the last-computed route.
