Combine Multiple Streets & Trips Itineraries Into a Single File

Let's say you are planning a multiple-day itinerary but you want to do it a single day at a time. However, once complete you want to consolidate it all into a single file.

One way to do it might be to have what Adobe's PhotoShop does with virtual 'layers.' You could have multiple layers 'stacked' over one another so that you could focus only on a single layer at a time or merge them all together when completed. Or like MSFT's Excel with multiple worksheets that can be linked one to the other. The Starts and Ends might linked from layer to layer. Statistics for each segment (or layer) would be nice. This would be nice for calculating costs in a commercial environment (trucking?) or driving times and average speeds.

P. S. The user would be able to compose alternative itineraries and easily compare them if they were viewable as layers in a single file. Imagine being able to visualize two or three alternative routes at one time by stacking semi-transparent layers.

Street Atlas allows this. I would like to see this feature also.

Is it possible to combine multiple .est files into one bigger .est file?
I see all the good resources in Tips and Tricks like the RV POIs listed here
Costco locations
Costco gas only locations

How do I combine these two into one .est?

For a cross country trip I'd like to have costco, campgrounds, special gas stations, etc. all in one file

One possible way to accomplish this would be to download the txt files rather than the est files and then combine the seperate txt files into one file. That one file could be just a txt file or onto a spreadsheet, either way you would a single file that could then be imported into your version of Streets.

I tried this, but the resulting .txt file is not importable by S&T.
It only wants .est format.

What to do?

If it was me I would find the POI files you want in a csv format, open your streets and trips and import the data all onto one map then save that map as an .est file.

You need to use the 'Import Data Wizard' in the Data drop down. It can import txt files.
